Travel Trouble
by David Hemingway
The patter story and presentation are the key to this terrific effect. A small prop that plays really big! In his terrific adaptation of the well known “Traffic Sign” trick, David Hemingway has come up with a real winner. Through special arrangement with Mr. Hemingway, Magic Methods is proud to offer this tremendous effect. In “Travel Trouble” a hand with a pointing finger (like the one illustrated) is used instead of the traditional arrow.
The patter story has to do with the troubles the performer had finding the theater, school, church at which he is performing. To climax a great routine, the performer remarks, “It’s bad enough to make you get your eyes checked!” And, with that pronouncement, the sign changes into a large Eye Exam Chart!!
When in use, the sign with the pointing hand is nine by nine inches. It opens into a nine by eighteen inch Eye Exam Chart! Silk screened in black and red on white vinyl. Should it become soiled through use, the vinyl can be wiped clean with a damp cloth.
And while the routine supplied isn't religious, this prop could easily be adapted to a Gospel magic routine.
Send for your “Travel Trouble” today. You’ll be pleased both with the equipment and the patter story.
