In  The Immaculate Connection, Paul removes the temptation to regard the trick as a mere puzzle. So spectacularly magical is the first link -one cardboard donut springs into flight and lands hanging crosswise through the other- that there is no way to doubt the miraculous occurrence. Increasingly open and nonchalant unlinking and linking of the minds of the spectators. Every detail is the result of careful analysis and refinement. A fantastic close-up effect.
