Tommy Windsor's Bible Volume # 1 Art & Brochures
Part of The Publicity & Promotional Series
by Lee Jacobs
This booklet showcases the many artwork items Tomy designed for himself and others during his career. It's mostly a historical booklet looing at ideas, artwork, flyers, ad copy, marketing, brochures, etc. This booklet was published in 1978 by Lee Jacobs Productions. The modern performer may find some useful ad copy, ideas for marketing materials and related items within this tomb.
Acording to the introduction in this book which I'm quoting fro: this project was the last that Tomy Windsor and Lee Jacobs worked on together before Tommy's passing. The intention of the book was that other magicians & entertainers could learn from the experiences of the material presented. "Artistically, you will learn by closely examining the type styles, sizes, use of photos, layout design and a million other little things." "Imaginatively, there is a vast storehouse of ideas contained in this book, words, phrases, sales pitches, sales gimmicks, approaches, emphases, gags, attention getters, etc. and there is no better way to learn then by closely studying good, creative, sound examples of advertising art of the past."
As a side note: all the material in the book, not about Tommy, was created, drawn and designed by Tommy Windsor.
