Here’s what happens: the die is placed into the frame with the holes lined up. Your spectator threads the cord through the frame and through the die, then pulls it back and forth. With both ends of the cord held tight in their hands, the die is clearly trapped—there’s no way it should come out.

And yet… you remove the die anyway while they’re still holding the cord ends.

Then the best part: the die, frame, and cord can be handed out for inspection. It’s a clean, close-up mystery that plays great for strolling, casual performances, or anytime you want a quick “Wait… WHAT?!” moment with everyday-looking props.
