Description: This 9 minute video tape is a collection of twelve different costume shop's television commercials gathered from around the country in the 1980s. This video was produced and sold to costume shops around the world, by Morris Costumes the largest wholesale costume & Halloween merchandise distributor in the world in the 1980s. The object was to educated their costume shop customers on the proper way to produce their own TV commercials to compete with the rising competition from mass merchandisers. This video gave other costume shops ideas they could use in their market.

 

Our owner Eddy Wade,  at Magic Methods, worked for Phil Morris in the 1980s at Morris Costumes wholesale distribution. We've come upon a Very Few of these Videos and are offering these to the magic collectors because they show a history of the costume & magic shop during this time period and it's narrated by magician Phil Morris. Very few of these tapes were produced, probably under 100, and distributed. Most likely the shops that got one are long gone and very few of these tapes survived.
