Close Up With Cards

by Ken Simmons

In this, his first book, Ken Simmons puts forward a darned good bunch of material! Close Up with Cards contains nineteen tricks and fourteen secret moves, including shuffles, side steals, one hand switch, retrievals, running false cuts along with other sleights, and variations all in the Ken Simmons style.

Simmons explores unusual techniques for reversing a card, novel techniques for palming cards at the card table, and much more. Excellent card material! Not the easiest stuff to do, but good ideas and worth the effort to learn them.

The routines include; Penetrating Transposition, Another Card to Pocket, Re-Setting Re-Set. Included as a bonus section is a contribution by Dan MacMillan titled, “A Slew of Cannibal Moves”. Appropriately enough moves pertaining to the “Cannibal Card” effect. Finely and informatively illustrated. For ease of study and rehearsal, this volume is spiral bound.
